Supporters and stakeholders loyal to Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji have condemned recent violence reported during the MHR primary election process in Ward 10, Ogijo and Ward 14, Agbowa, both in Sagamu Local Government. They described the incidents as unfortunate and contrary to democratic values.
The group said Elegbeji has consistently stood for peace, unity, fairness and issue-based politics. They stressed that elections should be conducted without intimidation, violence or unrest, and warned against actions that undermine the process.
Reacting through her loyalists, Elegbeji said any act capable of causing division or threatening the peace of the constituency is unacceptable. She maintained that political ambition should never come at the expense of human lives, safety and the long-standing harmony within Remo Federal Constituency.
Supporters emphasized that the people of Remo are known for political maturity and peaceful coexistence. They urged party members and stakeholders to embrace dialogue, tolerance and respect for democratic values as political activities toward 2027 gather momentum.
Elegbeji called on security agencies and party leaders to ensure adequate monitoring and fairness in subsequent exercises. She said this would prevent a recurrence of violence in Ward 10 Ogijo, Ward 14 Agbowa and other parts of Sagamu Local Government.
Despite the incidents, her supporters reaffirmed confidence in her leadership, describing her as a symbol of responsible representation and progressive politics focused on the growth and development of Remo Federal Constituency.
