The Accord Party has described its FCT ticket of Dr. Ezekiel Dalhatu Musa and Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika as the most viable and unifying force ahead of the 2027 National Assembly elections, saying the party represents the convergence of Indigenous and non-Indigenous interests.
The FCT Senate candidate, Dr. Ezekiel Dalhatu Musa, said the combination reflects Accord’s commitment to inclusive governance in the Federal Capital Territory, stressing that the party is building strength across all communities.
Speaking to electorate in Abuja, Dr. Musa expressed full confidence in Hon. Obika’s track record, particularly his work with communities in the FCT. He noted that Obika, the Accord candidate for AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, has demonstrated exceptional representation.
Reacting to criticism from the oppositions, Dr. Musa said the criticism underscores Obika’s dedication to serving his constituency with equity.
“We can state with full confidence that Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika’s performance in the National Assembly, particularly regarding the welfare of the Indigenous people of the FCT, has been unparalleled,” the statement read.
Quoting Obika, the party highlighted his message of unity: “Even though I am an Igbo man, my service has shown my love for the FCT people.” ACCORD said this reflects the hallmark of a true statesman.
Dr. Musa stressed that the complex challenges facing the FCT require collaboration beyond ethnic lines. “The challenges of the FCT are too significant to be solved by the Indigenous community alone. We need collaboration and synergy. We must come together as one people to solve our problems.”
The Accord Party is calling on residents of AMAC/Bwari and the wider FCT to rally behind the Musa-Obika ticket to usher in an era of inclusive development and collaborative governance.
