Former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda, has signalled his intention to anchor his political journey on faith as he begins consultations ahead of the 2027 elections.
Under the banner of Distinguished Senate Philip Tanimu Aduda (DSPTA), the campaign team kicked off its activities with a prayer session at the ECWA Church in Karu, seeking God’s guidance and direction.
Speaking during the church service, Aduda said effective leadership requires divine wisdom and the support of the people, stressing that no political ambition can succeed without God’s involvement.
He told the congregation that his decision to start the campaign in a place of worship reflects his commitment to humility, service and God-centered governance.
Party leaders and supporters who attended the programme described the move as a demonstration of Aduda’s belief that faith and politics must go hand in hand for sustainable development.
The DSPTA campaign team said subsequent engagements across the FCT will combine grassroots mobilisation with prayers, as the former senator seeks the face of God and the mandate of the people.
