The South-East Elders and Youths Alliance for Tinubu/Shettima 2027 (SEEYATS ’27) has congratulated the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday, describing the milestone as an opportunity to celebrate her life, humanitarian interventions and commitment to vulnerable Nigerians. The Alliance joined her family, friends and Nigerians across the country in wishing her many more years of good health, wisdom and service to humanity.
SEEYATS ’27 particularly acknowledged the First Lady’s initiatives under the Renewed Hope Initiative, which it said have focused on women, children, youths, the elderly and other vulnerable groups through empowerment, healthcare, education, social support and economic opportunities. The Alliance also commended her support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing her as an important source of encouragement and counsel as the administration pursues its reform and development agenda.
The Alliance used the occasion to reaffirm its commitment to national unity, inclusion and constructive engagement between the South-East and the Federal Government. According to SEEYATS ’27, its growing network of elders, youths, professionals, traditional and community leaders, women and grassroots stakeholders across the South-East, the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory is focused on building bridges of understanding and promoting dialogue, cooperation and shared national development.
Central to the Alliance’s philosophy is its “Rainbow Coalition” concept, which seeks to bring Nigerians of different ethnic, religious, political and regional backgrounds together around common national interests. SEEYATS ’27 said political differences should not become barriers to development, stressing that the South-East and other parts of Nigeria can contribute meaningfully to a stronger and more prosperous nation through constructive partnership.
Against this background, the Alliance respectfully expressed its desire for a strategic partnership and audience with Senator Oluremi Tinubu to present its programmes, nationwide structure and areas of possible collaboration.
SEEYATS ’27 said such engagement could strengthen efforts in empowerment, social development, national cohesion and improved South-East–Federal Government relations. The congratulatory message was signed by Hon. Engr. Humphrey C. Nsofor, National Coordinator; Prof. Chuka Ezema, National Secretary; and Hon. Sir Basil C. Ejidike, National Publicity Secretary.
