Capacity Leader and grassroots political mobiliser, Comrade Edede Franklyne, has renewed his support for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2027 presidential election, while calling on Nigerians to make conscious and informed electoral choices.
Edede urged opposition leaders across the country to work together and place the broader national interest above personal political ambitions as they prepare for the 2027 contest.
According to him, voters should scrutinise the records, policies, programmes and public commitments of candidates and political parties before deciding whom to support.
He also warned against allowing money, temporary political benefits, ethnic or religious sentiments to determine electoral choices, arguing that Nigerians should focus on issues affecting governance, security, economic opportunity and national development.
Edede, who has adopted “Edede Franklyne Atiku Abubakar” as part of his political identity, reaffirmed his advocacy for Atiku and said he would continue mobilising support for him ahead of the election.
He particularly urged political leaders to create greater opportunities for young Nigerians to participate meaningfully in governance rather than limiting their role to campaign mobilisation and election-day activities.
As political activities intensify ahead of 2027, Edede said Nigerians should remain politically conscious, examine the alternatives before them and independently determine the leadership and policy direction they want for the country.
