A private legal practitioner, Amobi Nzelu Esq, has described President Bola Tinubu as a master of the political game who understands how to speak to power and exercise power.
Nzelu, called to Bar in 1988, said this in an interview on the acceptance of Tinubu campaign coordination by opposition leader and governors.
He said the President built political bridges years ago by making friends across the Niger and establishing relationships.
He noted that in political contest, everything is considered fair, likening it to wrestling where opponents are thrown out of the ring.
He however made a passionate appeal to the President to address the economic hardship in the country.
According to him, the cost of diesel and other commodities has become astronomically high, affecting ordinary Nigerians.
He said the situation has pushed many Nigerians, including women, into difficult conditions in order to survive.
He recalled his own days as a student when things were relatively affordable, including school fees and cost of living.
He compared the current President with the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, who he said wanted to give Nigeria an enduring democratic dispensation.
He urged the President to help Nigerians, fight corruption and give governance a human face, saying all is not well and the problems did not start with the current administration.
