Former President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, has celebrated Vice President Kashim Ibrahim Shettima as he clocks 60, describing him as an outstanding statesman whose public service record continues to make an impact on Nigeria.
In a goodwill message marking Shettima’s 60th birthday, Lawan congratulated the Vice President and said the milestone was an opportunity to reflect on his remarkable journey of service to the country. He also thanked Almighty Allah for the life and accomplishments of the Vice President.
According to Lawan, Shettima has consistently demonstrated “exceptional capacity, courage” and a strong commitment to national unity and progress since becoming Vice President. He said these qualities had positioned Shettima as an important figure in the country’s ongoing transformation.
Lawan also recalled his experience working with Shettima during the Ninth Senate, where the Vice President represented Borno Central. He praised Shettima’s mastery of legislative engagement, eloquence and patriotic zeal, saying those qualities distinguished him as a lawmaker.
The former Senate President said Shettima’s experience and deep intellect remain valuable to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, the APC and Nigerians as the Federal Government tackles the challenges associated with the country’s national rebirth.
Lawan joined Shettima’s family, friends and well-wishers across the world in celebrating the milestone, praying for robust health, greater wisdom and many more years of fruitful service to Nigeria and humanity. “Happy Birthday, Mr. Vice President,” he said.
