The Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has approved the immediate dissolution of the Council’s Executive Cabinet and all political aides.
This announcement was signed by Kingsley Madaki, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs to the Executive Chairman, AMAC, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu.
The sweeping directive affects the Council Secretary, all Supervisory Councillors, Special Advisers, SAs, Senior Special Assistants, SSAs, and Personal Assistants, PAs. The dissolution takes effect immediately.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, June 10, 2026, the chairman expressed profound gratitude to the outgoing cabinet members and aides. He praised their dedication, hard work, and selfless service toward the development of AMAC.
Maikalangu commended their invaluable contributions to the numerous achievements recorded by his administration so far. He said their efforts helped shape key policies and projects within the council.
The chairman wished all affected officials the absolute best in their future professional and personal endeavors. He noted that their service to the council would remain part of its progress story.
The council also directed all affected officials to hand over every council property and official document in their possession without delay. The handover should be made to the Head of Administration or the most senior career officer in their respective departments.
