Abuja

A political group in Anambra South has begun mobilizing for the return of Senator Emmanuel C. Nwachukwu to the Senate in 2027, saying the district is regaining its voice and relevance under his representation.

In a statement issued this week, the group said every election offers a defining chance to shape the future through vision, competence, integrity, and genuine service. “Elections are not merely about occupying political offices, they are about choosing representatives with the capacity, character, and commitment to transform society,” it read.

The statement declared that “today, there is hope,” pointing to Nwachukwu, popularly known as Onọdụgo, as evidence that Anambra South is regaining strength within the national space. It credited his approach to a deep understanding of constituents’ needs and the importance of effective representation.

According to the group, a senator’s role goes beyond lawmaking to serving as a strong voice for the people, a bridge to the federal government, and a champion of development and empowerment. “Anambra South deserves a representative who understands these responsibilities and is prepared to pursue them with passion, competence, sincerity, and dedication,” it added.

The supporters urged a shift from politics driven by personal ambition to representation rooted in selfless service and measurable impact. They said 2027 offers ndi Anambra South the chance to sustain and strengthen what they described as people-oriented and transformative representation already taking shape.

Nwachukwu was described as a seasoned technocrat and administrator with experience across public and private sectors, possessing the knowledge, exposure, and strategic relationships needed to advance the district’s interests. “This is the time to stand with a personality who understands the aspirations of the people and possesses the capacity to deliver meaningful progress,” the statement said.

Closing with the slogan “Maka Oganiru na Ọdịmma Anambra South,” the group said the district stands on a “sealed mandate in one accord” with eyes fixed on brighter days. Using poetic lines, it stated: “We did it before with strength and grace, now we return at a stronger pace. Not for noise or empty display, but for progress that’s come to stay.”

The statement ended on a note of confidence: “And victory shall crown the work well done. No shaking, the future is bright, the people have chosen what is right. With faith, with strength, we go again, as Onodugo leads the way forward.”
