As Orumba South Local Government Area prepares for the next phase of local governance, stakeholders are calling for proven and capable leadership to drive real development in the area.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has presented Hon. Shedrack N. Azubuike as its candidate for Mayor and Dr. Mrs. Kate Obiorji as Deputy Mayor ahead of the forthcoming LGA elections.

Campaign promoters say the ticket was chosen to provide the kind of leadership that can translate government presence into tangible benefits for communities across Orumba South.

At the heart of the campaign is a three-point agenda focused on grassroots growth, community development, and accessible governance.

On grassroots growth, the team said it will create real opportunities for youth, women, and local businesses through skills programs, access to markets, and support for small enterprises.

For community development, they promised impactful local projects that directly improve daily life, including better roads, primary healthcare, education infrastructure, and rural electrification.

The candidates also pledged accessible governance, with a commitment to dedicated leadership that puts Orumba South first and ensures government is closer to the people.

Announcing support for the ticket, Dr. Amb. Ndubuisi David Ewenike, CEO of De-Shield Events and Founder of One-On-One Network, urged voters to elect Hon. Shedrack N. Azubuike as Mayor and Dr. Mrs. Kate Obiorji as Deputy Mayor on the APGA platform, saying: “Together, let’s build a better, stronger Orumba South!”
