The push for Hon. Orji Udeagha to represent Bende North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly gained momentum after ward executives across the constituency pledged support for his 2027 aspiration.
Udeagha met with ward chairmen, women leaders, and other executives in a closed-door session as part of ongoing consultations across Bende North. The meeting focused on his vision for the constituency and the need for unity among APC stakeholders to secure victory and deliver dividends of democracy.
Speaking on behalf of the executives, the ward chairmen and women leaders commended Udeagha’s track record of grassroots engagement and loyalty to the party. They described him as a leader with the capacity, character, and reach to represent Bende North effectively at the state level.
The executives unanimously pledged unwavering support and vowed to mobilize their wards for his success in both the party primaries and the general election. They said his consultative approach showed respect for party structures and a commitment to collective decision-making.
The meeting was hosted at the residence of APC Bende LGA Chairman, Chief Jonah Joshua Okpai, highlighting the significance of the consultation within the party hierarchy in the council area.
Political observers noted that the endorsement strengthens Udeagha’s base ahead of the primaries. With Bende North expected to be hotly contested in 2027, his early outreach to grassroots leaders positions him as a strong contender.
Udeagha thanked the executives for their trust and promised an inclusive campaign focused on development, youth empowerment, and effective representation. He urged party members to remain united as the APC prepares for the contest ahead, while confirming that consultations with other stakeholder groups will continue in the coming weeks.
