A Civil Society Organization (CSO), Progressive Alliance for Justice, Unity and Democracy has upbraided Activist, Ibrahim G Wala, for allegedly spreading falsehood and embarking on campaign of calumny against the administration of  Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, of Borno State.

They also threatened to drag the Activist to Court, if he did not retrace his steps

The group in a statement titled: ‘Ibrahim G Wala: A Practitioner In Falsehood Is At It  Against Zulum, and  jointly signed by its Convener, Wale Adegoke and Musa Abdullahi, Secretary, accused the activist of making unsubstantiated remarks against the Borno State Governor

The group stated; “Nigeria appears to be a nation where the shameless liar is constantly lobbied, consulted, patronised, sought after and his  mischief openly celebrated.

“Nigeria appears to be a country where those who should be in jail or be hiding in shame strut about with the audacity of the devil on another evil mission.

“Or how can anyone unquestionably explain Ibrahim Wala’s new found attack on the performance  driven Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno.

“It is a genuine tragedy that Wala whom the world acknowledged as having been convicted before a  competent Nigerian court of law is the one spewing nonsense and spreading falsehood against the administration of Prof Zulum.

“In fact, the court ruled that Wala failed to substantiate his false claim with evidence against the then Boss of the National Hajj Commission Alhaji Muktar. And was therefore found guilty and sentenced to prison terms.

“Do we really suffer from such gross  amnesia in this country? The judicial verdict against Wala was that he was synonymous with false claims, lies and the most blatant form of brazen unsubstantiation.

“Is Wala serious about repentance and pressing forward away from his dirty past? Certainly not at all, particularly with his latest tirade against the time tested and incontrovertible performance index of Zulum.

“It is a very sad commentary on our media space that Wala whose name should be whispered in the dark corner when it comes to integrity and moral rectitude is the same charlatant pontificating about funds that accrued to Borno State under Governor Zulum.

“He is even openly displaying pretentious progressive slant never known to be associated with his character since childhood.

“We at the Progressives Alliance for Justice, Unity and Democracy are constrained to believe that these baseless and unfounded attacks against Zulum is an attempt to denigrate his commendable and above average performance in office.

“The most reprehensible thing this shameful posture of Wala is his bare faced blackmail tactics aimed towards hoodwinking the people against the time tested integrity, honesty and  performance delivery records of Zulum.

“With his conviction record, he should live inside himself more than not, keep his doors closed with utter shame and be seen through the window in contrast to the current puritanical  grandstanding he is displaying.

“His false agitation is a clear show of treachery, desperation and attempt to discredit the present administration in the state.

“His antics should be ignored and treated with levity by discernable citizens.

They warned Wala and his cohorts, who engage in the act of fruitless grandstanding and derogating the administration to stop forth with, in order to allow the government consolidate in engendering development oriented projects across the state.

“After all, every one in Borno can substantiate the claim that a miracle hand of Zulum has touched the state since 2019.

“It must be stated that a restrained response to evil is not moral consideration. We shall therefore, take adequate steps to ensure justice prevail and Wala should come before the law to once again substantiate his false claim.
