Residents and political stakeholders across the FCT have declared support for Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika ahead of the 2027 election, citing his track record in AMAC and Bwari Federal Constituency.
According to the MediaWatch, residents described Obika’s work in both areas as a milestone achievement. “He is a sitting member and we know what he has done in AMAC and Bwari,” one resident said.
“Since the inception of AMAC and Bwari, there has never been a rep with this kind of record. The seat is about empowerment and making laws, and Hon. Obika showed how a rep can perform. He deserves a second term.”
Obidient Movement stakeholders also spoke to MediaWatch. While they said they remain with their leader, Peter Obi, they noted that the NDC candidate selection did not align with Obidient core values.
“This election is not top-to-bottom,” an Obidient stakeholder said. “We have seen the works of Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika in AMAC and Bwari, and he deserves a second term.”
Sources further told MediaWatch that stakeholders from indigenous groups, non-indigenous groups, and members of NDC, ADC, and APC in the FCT have pledged support for Obika’s re-election bid, citing his constituency projects and accessibility.
