The Village Head of Idu-Koro, host community of the Idu Industrial Area in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Mohammed Bawa Makama, has welcomed the FCT Minister, His Excellency Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, into the month of August with commendation for what he described as “unprecedented and people-centered development” across the nation’s capital.

Chief Makama, who addressed journalists in his palace over the weekend, said the Minister has lived up to his reputation as “Mr. Project” through visible infrastructure delivery. According those in his community, that had been neglected for years are now experiencing a new lease of life.

“Under the leadership of His Excellency, our people are now enjoying street lights that make our nights safer and roads that have opened up Idu-Koro community and Idu Industrial Area for business,”Makama stated. “This is the kind of leadership that touches the grassroots directly.”

The traditional ruler noted that the ongoing road rehabilitation and lighting projects have not only eased transportation but have also boosted economic activities and security around the industrial hub. He said traders, workers, and residents can now move freely at night, a development he attributed to the Minister’s commitment to results.

Praying for the Minister, Chief Makama asked God to grant Wike wisdom, strength, and resources to sustain the momentum. “We pray that God gives him all it takes to continue his good works. May his tenure bring more dividends of democracy to the people of FCT,” he said.

The Village Head further urged residents of Idu-Koro and the entire FCT to support the administration and protect public infrastructure. He reaffirmed the community’s commitment to peace and partnership with government, adding that Idu-Koro remains proud to host one of Abuja’s fastest-growing industrial areas.
