The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), on has within the week held the official launch of the Performance Evaluation and Results Management Information System (PERMIS), Framework at the Service Headquarters in Abuja.
The event also featured the Directorates’ Performance Bond Signing and an Investiture Ceremony aimed at driving accountability and institutional excellence within the Service.
Delivering the welcome address, the Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of Planning, Research and Statistics Directorates, D.M. Bagari, pcc+, described the PERMIS Framework as a strategic tool for performance monitoring, institutional transformation, and improved service delivery.
In her remarks, the Comptroller-General of Immigration, K.N. Nandap, pcc, mmis, fsmn, fspsp, reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to fostering a high-performance culture anchored on measurable outcomes, accountability, and continuous improvement.
She emphasized that the successful implementation of PERMIS would strengthen institutional efficiency and align the Service with the Federal Government’s Public Service Performance Management reforms.
The programme featured the formal launch of the PERMIS Framework, followed by the signing of Performance Bonds by Heads of all Directorates of the Service, signifying their commitment to achieving clearly defined institutional targets.
It also included the investiture of PERMIS Ambassadors and Focal Persons who will drive the implementation and monitoring of the framework across the Service, as NIS reaffirms its commitment to transparency and the delivery of efficient, accountable, and citizen-centred immigration services.
