Reports circulated this morning, June 18, 2026, claiming that hundreds of secondary school students in Sabon-Gida Ora, Edo State were abducted by gunmen and taken to an unknown location.
The unverified accounts allege that armed bandits stormed a school in the community, causing students to flee classrooms in confusion. The reports describe the incident as throwing the entire area into panic.
As of press time, there has been no official confirmation from the Edo State Police Command, the State Ministry of Education, or the Nigeria Police Force on the alleged abduction.
