The Princess Anita Teens Development Initiative (PATDI), has celebrated fathers and father figures worldwide for their love, sacrifice, leadership, and commitment to families and society as part of Father’s Day 2026.
In a message signed by PATDI President and African Teens Ambassador, Princess Anita Umeweni, the organisation said fatherhood is “not only a responsibility but a divine assignment.” She noted that fathers play a vital role in shaping character, building values, and raising children who contribute positively to society.
Quoting her book “God! The Best Gift from Parents to Children,” Amb. Umeweni described parents as among God’s greatest gifts to children. She urged every father to embrace his role with love, wisdom, discipline, and integrity, adding that being present and exemplary is key to building a better future and a crime-free society.
PATDI extended appreciation to all fathers, both biological and father figures, for their sacrifices, guidance, and positive influence. The group prayed for strength, wisdom, good health, favour, and prosperity for fathers, and wished that their homes be filled with peace, joy, and lasting legacy.
Amb. Umeweni concluded with Father’s Day wishes to all fathers, reaffirming PATDI’s commitment through Vision2035 and Crime Free Society Is Possible to get it right for the next generation. The statement also referenced The 1st National Teen Summit as part of the initiative’s ongoing advocacy for youth development.
