Dr. Okwudili Ezeike, an aspirant for the Aguata Federal Constituency seat in Anambra State under the African Democratic Congress, has called for real representation and transparent leadership as the pathway to development for Nigerians.
Ezeike, who once served as Chairman of Ekwulobia people in the United States and Canada, is a United States based attorney with a PhD in Nursing Science. He currently works as a Regulatory Counsel with the United States Food and Drug Administration and also works per diem as a Registered Nurse in hospitals across the Greater Baltimore Area.
Speaking on his ambition, Ezeike said real representative government, if practiced, will go a long way for his constituents and Nigerians in general. He urged delegates to vote wisely in the interest of their people.
He also appealed to the electorate to ensure they obtain their voter cards. He noted that the voter card remains their power to elect candidates of their choice at the polls.
As an attorney, Ezeike said that if elected, he will promote fundamental human rights through effective legislation. He stressed that protecting the rights of citizens must be a priority for any lawmaker.
Drawing from his background in health, he pledged to work until medical care becomes affordable for the people. “As a health officer, if elected, I will leave no stone unturned until I ensure that medicals are affordable,” he said.
Ezeike faulted legislators who he described as rubber stampers and bench warmers. He promised not only to fulfill his campaign promises through effective legislation, but also to deliver the kind of constituency projects his people have long yearned for.

Dr. Okwudili Ezeike, an aspirant for the Aguata Federal Constituency seat in Anambra State under the African Democratic Congress, has called for real representative government and transparent leadership to drive development for Nigerians.
Ezeike, a former Chairman of Ekwulobia Community in the United States and Canada, is a United States based attorney with a PhD in Nursing Science. He currently serves as a Regulatory Counsel with the United States Food and Drug Administration and also works per diem as a Registered Nurse in hospitals across the Greater Baltimore Area.
Speaking on his legislative agenda, he said real representation, if practiced, will go a long way for his constituents and Nigerians in general. He urged party members to vote wisely in the interest of all people.
He also appealed to the electorate to obtain their voter cards, noting that it is their votes that give them power. According to him, getting the Permanent Voter Card will enable them to cast their ballots for candidates of their choice.
As an attorney, Ezeike pledged to promote fundamental human rights through effective legislation if elected. He said the protection of citizens’ rights must remain a core duty of any lawmaker.
Drawing from his background in the health sector, he promised to work until medical care becomes affordable for Nigerians. “As a health officer, if elected, I will leave no stone unturned until I ensure that healthcare becomes affordable,” he stated.
Ezeike criticized legislators who act as rubber stampers and bench warmers in the National Assembly. He said he would not only fulfill his promises through effective legislation but also provide effective oversight of the executive. He reiterated his promise to deliver the constituency projects his people have long yearned for.
He maintained that transparent leadership and accountability remain key to restoring public trust in government and ensuring that democracy delivers real benefits to the people.
