As preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum, ACCORD Party candidates Hon. Chinedu Obika and Dr. Dalhatu Ezekiel have pledged to pursue all-inclusive legislative representation aimed at ensuring that every community in the Federal Capital Territory has a voice.
In a statement signed by Hon. Dr. Nnamdi Onyeanuna, the duo said effective representation must go beyond politics to touch the lives of the people by listening to every community, understanding their needs, and ensuring that no one is left behind.
According to the statement, the vision of Hon. Obika, who is contesting for the House of Representatives seat for AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, and Dr. Dalhatu Ezekiel, the ACCORD Senate candidate for FCT, is centered on opportunities, development, and empowerment for the masses.
The statement emphasized that healthcare and education will be major priorities for the ticket, anchored on the belief that “Health Is Wealth.”
“With their extensive grassroots orientation and experience, they understand that a healthy population is fundamental to productive families and a prosperous society,” it stated.
The candidates pledged to advocate for stronger intervention policies and programmes that will make healthcare affordable and education qualitative, with special focus on mothers, children, the elderly, and other vulnerable citizens.
Describing the 2027 bid as “a commitment to represent, to serve and to deliver,” Dr. Onyeanuna expressed confidence that the duo will not disappoint the electorate. “A vote for them is a vote for even development,” he said.
He called on residents of the FCT to support Hon. Chinedu Obika for the House of Representatives and Dr. Dalhatu Ezekiel for the Senate in the 2027 General Election, saying, “We will be happy we did.”
