The APC support group, Nigeria Women United for P-BAT 2027 Success Agenda, has held its grand investiture ceremony in Abuja, honouring distinguished members and stakeholders for strategic roles ahead of the 2027 general elections, according to a press release signed Dr. Chinaemerem Iwuanyanwu
Director, Media & Public Communication Nigeria Women United for P-BAT 2027 Success Agenda of the group Thursday.
The colourful event featured the decoration and inauguration of eminent personalities into positions including Patrons, Patronesses, Ambassadors-at-Large, Consultants, Coordinators, and other leadership offices. The appointments are aimed at strengthening the association’s nationwide grassroots mobilization for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Founder and National Leader, Hajia Chief Amina Ina Abubakar, charged the newly inaugurated stakeholders to deploy their experience, influence, and expertise toward promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda and ensuring President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. She said the association is committed to building a formidable women-driven political structure to mobilize support for the APC across the federation.
Some newly inaugurated officers pledged immediate action. Dr Usman Chiroma said he was ready to “hit the ground running” by replicating grassroots mobilization strategies and political experience that contributed to Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 elections.
Speakers noted that women have historically played significant roles during elections without adequate recognition afterward. They expressed confidence that the movement would usher in a new era of inclusiveness, participation, and recognition for women in politics under President Tinubu.
Hajia Abubakar assured members that the association was founded on sincerity, loyalty, unity, and collective progress. She urged steadfastness and promised that sacrifices toward Tinubu’s second-term bid would not go unrewarded.
Reading out the mandate, the National Coordinator said the movement was established to encourage women’s active participation in governance and strengthen their role in nation-building. She urged Nigerian women not to lose hope, adding that the 30 percent affirmative inclusion in governance could become reality if Tinubu is re-elected, with women potentially contesting the Presidency, Governorships, and Senate President by 2031.
In her acceptance remarks, Dr Obi Uche Francisca said Nigerian women possess enormous demographic strength and political influence. She added that the association would work with women groups, community leaders, and stakeholders across the 36 states, FCT, 774 LGAs, and 8,809 wards to ensure massive support for Tinubu and the APC in 2027.
The event featured strategic consultations, goodwill messages, and calls for unity among women nationwide. It ended with group photographs and closing remarks coordinated by Chief Consultant and Director of Operations, Umar Pharooq A.
