The APP Senatorial Candidate for Orlu Zone, Rt. Hon. Rufus Omeire, has called on the people of Ideato Federal Constituency to support Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere for another term in the House of Representatives.
Omeire argued that frequent changes of representatives after one term could undermine long-term development in the constituency.
He described Ugochinyere as a young, energetic and capable representative who deserves the opportunity to continue his work.
“We are short-changing ourselves in this quest to always change our reps after one tenure,” he said.
According to him, effective representation requires continuity, particularly where a lawmaker has begun attracting federal projects to the constituency.
Omeire said the people of Ideato had “finally gotten it right” with Ugochinyere.
He urged constituents to prioritize competence, capacity and tangible achievements when making their choice in 2027.
He expressed confidence that Ugochinyere would defend the mandate given to him by the people when the political contest begins.
