Dr. Odiraa Nwankwor, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Orumba North/South Federal Constituency of Anambra State, invites the constituents to wellness, saying that tomorrow, Saturday the July 18th, offers another chance to invest in our most valuable asset, our health. As the people of Orumba North and South prepare to gather for a community exercise, the message is simple: a healthy body builds a stronger mind, a more productive people, and a more united community, reports Ekuson Nw’Ogbunka, Our Managing Editor in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory FCT.
Hear him: “I warmly invite the good people of Orumba North and South to join us for the Healthy Living Exercise, a programme designed to promote fitness, wellness, and a culture of healthy living across our federal constituency.
“This is more than a walk or a workout. It is a movement. A movement that encourages us to embrace healthy habits, prevent lifestyle-related illnesses, and foster unity among our people.
“In communities like ours, where daily work is demanding and health facilities are often stretched, prevention must come first. Regular physical activity, good nutrition, and wellness awareness can reduce the burden of hypertension, diabetes, and other non-communicable diseases.” A healthy body strengthens the mind. When we are fit, we think clearer, work better, and contribute more to our families, schools, markets, and farms. Productivity begins with wellness.”
He continued: “I am delighted to participate alongside Her Excellency, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, whose _Healthy Living Initiative_ continues to inspire healthier lifestyles across Anambra State. Her commitment reminds us that government and citizens must work together to put health first. The event will hold on Saturday, 18th July, 2026 at 7:30 AM. The venue is Neros Sports Stadium, Nanka. It is open to everyone: youths, parents, elders, and community groups.”
“Come dressed in your sportswear. Come with your family, your neighbors, and your positive energy. Let us walk, stretch, and exercise together for a healthier tomorrow. Beyond fitness, this gathering is about community. When we exercise together, we talk together, we encourage each other, and we build the social bonds that make Orumba strong.”
“As the saying goes, “Health is wealth.” A healthy people means fewer hospital bills, more children in school, more farmers in the field, and more businesses thriving. When the people are healthy, the community prospers.
In conclusion, he said: “As an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and as someone seeking to serve you in the House of Representatives, I believe health must be at the center of our development agenda. From primary healthcare to health education, we must invest in what keeps our people well.
“The Healthy Living Exercise_ is one step. But the goal is a long-term culture, where healthy eating, regular checkups, and physical activity become part of our daily lives in Orumba North and South.
“I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday. Let us take this step together.”
