Godswil Chinwendu is setting the Albanian league alight with back-to-back goals, earning Man of the Match honors after scoring his club’s winning goal at the weekend, J.K. Football Academy CEO Pastor Ifeanyi Isaac confirmed Monday.
The forward’s latest strike proved decisive as his side climbed from 7th to 5th on the table, moving firmly into the playoff race. “With the winning I took the team from 7th to 5th position into the playoff race,” Pastor Isaac said, praising the striker’s impact since joining the club.
Chinwendu, a graduate of J.K. Football Academy Abuja, has been in red-hot form in Albania, stringing together consistent performances that have drawn attention from clubs in Belgium, Germany, and France. Scouts have been monitoring the Nigerian closely as the season enters its crucial phase.
Pastor Isaac urged the Nigeria Football Federation to track the attacker’s progress, describing him as a long-term prospect for the Super Eagles. “Nigeria Football Federation should follow him up. This guy is one of Nigeria long term players of super eagles,” he said.
He added that both the U-23 team and Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle should consider the in-form striker for upcoming invitations. According to Pastor Isaac, a Ghanaian coach first discovered Chinwendu, and J.K. Football Academy has tracked his development since, with their correspondent in Albania providing regular updates.
With his club now in the playoff spots and European interest growing, Chinwendu’s rise continues to validate J.K. Football Academy’s player development model as another Abuja product makes waves abroad.
