Godswill Chiwendu to play for the Super Eagles. He addressed journalists recently in his office in Abuja on Thursday.
Godswill Chiwendu, a centre-forward, according to him has been playing with KS Besa in Albania since 2025, with a market value of €125k, adding that Chiwendu’s experience, playing for international clubs like Faith Karagumruk and Trepca 89 makes him an ideal candidate for the national team. “For football to move to the expected level in Nigeria, we need footballers like him to be invited to the national team,” Isaac emphasized, informing that he has been in top level scoring, goals at will
Chiwendu, born in Awkuzu, Anambra State, has been playing for KS Besa since 2025 and has shown promising performances. Isaac believes Chiwendu’s inclusion in the Super Eagles would be a significant boost to Nigerian football.
The NFF has been under pressure to identify and invite talented players to represent the country. Chiwendu’s impressive performances abroad make him a strong contender for a spot in the national team.
The NFF has not yet responded to Isaac’s call, but the football community is abuzz with excitement about Chiwendu’s potential. If selected, Chiwendu would join a squad that includes stars like Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon.
