President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially commissioned Collector Roads C01 and C02 in Mabushi District, linking the Mabushi bus terminal directly to Ahmadu Bello Way. Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the June 26, 2026 ceremony, the President called it more than asphalt. It is, he said, Renewed Hope in concrete form.

The new roads are designed to end bottlenecks in Mabushi and cut wasted hours for thousands of commuters. The President also acknowledged residents for their patience during construction. He said the short-term inconvenience is now giving way to long-term gain in time saved, safety improved, and economic opportunity expanded.

Barr. Wike said the Mabushi project follows the President’s directive that no district should be left out. The commissioning, he explained, is part of a 31-day rollout of completed projects across the territory, keeping momentum high and visible.

According to the Minister, the Mabushi opening came a day after the Jahi-Gwarimpa interchange at Katampe was commissioned. Next on the calendar is Karu Satellite Town on Monday for another major road, underlining what he called an intensive delivery schedule.

Wike credited the scale of delivery to President Tinubu’s financial and logistical backing. “When you have courageous, assertive, focused leadership, subordinates have no choice but to deliver,” he said, thanking the President for standing by the FCT team with all needed support.

Engineering Details That Matter
FCDA Executive Secretary, Engr Richard Yunana Dauda, said the scope covers Collector Roads C01 and C02 as Special Important Local Streets. The dual carriageway runs about 3.4km with two lanes each way, plus drainage, box culverts, sewer and water networks, telecom ducts, walkways, and streetlights for full, modern connectivity.

Setraco Nigeria Plc Managing Director, Engr Ziad Mouannes, said the project was flagged off in September 2025 and completed in under 10 months to top specifications with premium materials. He thanked the FCT Administration (FCTA) for its confidence in Setraco’s engineering capacity, closing a chapter of construction and opening one of productivity.
