The final warning from Nigerian youths to South Africans in Nigeria

By Ekuson Nw’Ogbunka in Abuja

Ekuson Nw’Ogbunka, Our Managing Editor brings it to the public knowledge that the Forum of National Youth Leaders of All Political Parties in Nigeria has insisted on its one-month ultimatum to South Africans living in Nigeria to leave the country. Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Comrade Eze Onyebuchi Chukwu, said on Tuesday that the ultimatum issued on July 1, 2026, “stands” and called on Nigerian youths to get ready.

The directive was issued in response to what the Forum described as the unwarranted and unjustifiable harassment, embarrassment, humiliation and killing of Nigerians living in South Africa. Chukwu said the action was necessary to draw attention to the plight of Nigerians abroad and to demand that such attacks stop.

He argued that the Forum could not fold its arms while Nigerians were being targeted in South Africa.

According to him, the ultimatum is a way of telling South Africa that Nigerians will not continue to accept the treatment being meted out to their citizens.

The youth leader maintained that the Forum is not promoting violence but is demanding reciprocity and respect for Nigerians.

He said the deadline given to South Africans in Nigeria remains in force and that youths across the country have been put on alert.

Chukwu called on relevant authorities to intervene diplomatically, but stressed that the Forum will not withdraw its position. “On behalf of the Forum, we justify the ultimatum and we declare that it stands. We are calling on the youths of Nigeria to get ready,” he said.
